We have several Kingdom based initiatives in our community of Welcome Bay. These typically partner with existing organisations, to combine our strengths and to give opportunities to our people to go into our community with the love of Jesus.

If you would like to be involved in one of these initiatives, please contact the coordinator through the contact buttons below.

We serve our local primary school by providing volunteers in the areas of reading support, grandparenting (one on one mentoring) and with the breakfast club.

The 3-session CAP Money course helps you identify how you spend your money and prioritise the things that are important to you. You’ll learn to live well within your means, manage or prevent debt, and save for your future, all by using a simple, cash-based system that really works.
Whether you're facing a reduced income, self-employed, well-off or after some help with your finances, this course is for you!

ICONZ4Girlz

The purpose of ICONZ4Girlz is  to provide a skills and values based Christian programme for churches to deliver to girls, to empower them to succeed in tomorrow’s world.

In Welcome Bay, the group meets during school terms on Wednesdays from 4.15pm until 5.45pm in the Welcome Bay Community Centre.

It is a balanced programme, both skills and values based, which seeks to engage and develop girls physically, socially and spiritually with a range of fun filled creative weekly activities.  Girls earn badges to recognise their involvement and achievements

ICONZ Edge for boys

This programme runs at Welcome Bay School during class time for boys at the School. Our Trust sponsors this 'club' at the School where they engage in woodworking and other skills.

Parents should discuss the possibility of their boy being involved with the School principal.

We partner with the NZ Police AWHI scheme (Another Way of Helping Individuals). This scheme promotes connecting an offender with a community group like us to give another way through a tough period of their lives.

Good Neighbour assigns some of their Welcome Bay community tasks to us - may be tidying up a section, helping someone move house.
